Operations Support

Working closely with our carers, our operations team is dedicated to making sure all staff receive the best form of support.

Our Social Care Induction Framework will help employees achieve an initial understanding of care and help promote confidence and independence. Our operations team are there to support you after you have completed your 7 day induction.

 

 

 

How will our operations team support you?

Our operations team are there to support you after you have completed your 7 day induction and do so via the following:

  • Regular reviews giving employees the opportunity to discuss subjects such as ability, timekeeping, health, awareness and working relationships.
  • Regular supervision and spot check sessions.
  • Training and development reviews held with employees every six months.
  • We adhere to an open door policy, achieving good communication and a high quality of care.
  • Support can be provided by registered nurses.
  • We have purpose built offices and meeting rooms.
  • A training centre providing mandatory and specialist courses.
  • A City & Guilds NVQ approved centre with employed NVQ assessors.

Care in Hand is set up in the following way and there are various roles within each dept.


Strategic Management Team - What do they do?

This Team of staff provide vision, direction and leadership with Care in Hand. They set strategic objectives, operational policy, financial viability, organisational stability, legal compliance, staffing structures and management. They work in partnership, monitor and respond to internal development and external policy agendas, reports and research and facilitate change.

Organisational Management Team – What do they do?

They assist with implementation of business planning, operational plans, implementation of strategic policy, legal compliance, contracting, costing, tendering, financial management, workforce training strategies, IT development and managers, decision making. They work in partnership monitoring and responding to internal and external developmental changes and contribute to informing direction of organisation and management change.

They implement operational policies and procedures, manage and support a dispersed workforce, including training and development, legal compliance, partnership working, monitoring and responding to internal and external changes and development, contributing to informing direction of the organisation and manage change effectively.

Front Line Management Teams - What do they do?

Senior Field Supervisors, Field Supervisors, Call Monitors, Coaches/Mentors, Care Ambassadors

They implement operational plans, working directly with people needing care and carers, individual care and service delivery plans, legal compliance to lead, manage and support a dispersed workforce, identify training needs, partnership working, monitor and respond to internal and external changes and developments, result focused, contributing to informing direction of the organisation and manage change, and cover out of hours requirements.

Management Support / Coordination & Administration - What do they do?

This role can be variable. It includes telephone reception, advice and support for care staff and clients, communication, rota changes, referrals to MDT, District Nurses, induction notes, health & safety monitoring, recruitment, Human Resources enquiries and oversight, data entry, work allocation, report analysis and referral.
