Care in Hand supports Boat Race

Young spectators at the recent Welsh Dragon Boat Championships were treated to extra entertainment, thanks to Care in Hand.

Held recently at Llys y Fran Country Park and Reservoir, the annual family-friendly event is organised by the Rotary Club of Narberth and Whitland and exists to raise money for charities and good causes.

Financial support from local businesses is a vital factor in helping the Championships to go ahead, and Care in Hand was more than happy to contribute. The company acted as an associate sponsor, featuring in the event programme and having its logo printed on special edition event T-shirts.

Rotarian Ken Morgan, event organiser, said:

“Once again we are indebted to the very generous sponsorship of Care In Hand, which paid for free all-day children’s entertainment including a fairground ride, a bouncy castle and a giant slide. All attendees greatly appreciated this very welcome facility which entertained hundreds of children throughout the day. We are very pleased to say that the event was a great success and a very large crowd attended on the day to watch the races in glorious sunshine."

Care in Hand’s Managing Director, Delan Umanee, said he felt it was important to support events that directly benefit people in Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire, adding:

“This year’s Welsh Dragon Boat Championships were focussed on raising money for and awareness of organisations providing life development opportunities for young people in our local community. Our company ethos, which centres on helping our staff to develop new skills and achieve career progression, echoes this intention to enable people to reach their potential. Also, many of our clients have grandchildren and great-grandchildren, some of whom might directly benefit from the funds raised by the Championships.”
