Success shows as company opens third branch and gains a Registered Manager

Care in Hand is delighted to announce the opening of its new Narberth office. Based on the first floor of the Planed building in the town’s Old School Estate, the office is a welcome addition to the company’s existing bases in Saundersfoot and Pembroke Dock.

Care and Social Services Inspectorate Wales (CSSIW) has inspected the facility and interviewed its head, Marc Davies, who is now a CSSIW Registered Manager.

“I am proud to have become a Registered Manager. It is my passion to ensure that clients are supported in a person centred way, ensuring that their independence and individuality is respected at all times. I’m looking forward to putting my passion in to practice at the Narberth office.”

said Marc.

Registered Managers play a key role in providing strong, principled leadership for the team working under them, and are legally responsible for ensuring clients are looked after safely and within national care industry standards.

Apart from Care in Hand’s co-founder and Quality Assurance Director Sheena Umanee, Marc is the company’s first employee to achieve Registered Manager status. His colleague, Care Coordinator and Registered General Nurse Allison Saunders, has applied to CSSIW to become the Registered Manager of Care in Hand’s Pembroke Dock office.

“Marc joined us in June 2013 as a Deputy Care Coordinator, and has progressed through two job levels to become Registered Manager. I’d like to congratulate him on this achievement, and I’m confident our new office will flourish under his leadership.”

said Managing Director Delan Umanee.
